Getting started

Enhance your first video

Open a compatible HTML5 video, enable Master, and begin with Balanced.

Read details

AniHancer8 finds visible HTML5 video on supported pages and frames. Enable the main enhancer, choose Balanced or another Power level, and let the video play while you check stability.

Enhancement

Power 1–4

Four built-in Restore and Upscale chains.

Read details

Power 1 is RestoreS. Power 2 is RestoreS then UpscaleS. Power 3 is UpscaleS then RestoreS. Power 4 repeats RestoreS and UpscaleS for the official maximum built-in chain.

Enhancement

Eco, Balanced, and Turbo

Read details

Eco selects Power 1, Balanced selects Power 2, and Turbo selects Power 4. Power 3 remains available through direct Power selection.

Read details

Play or pause, rewind 10 seconds, skip 10 seconds, mute, adjust volume and playback speed, or restart from A8 LAB. Playback shortcuts are editable.

Controls

Default keyboard shortcuts

Compare and video actions have editable defaults.

Read details

Live Original Compare defaults to Alt+Shift+A. Video actions use editable Alt+Shift combinations for restart, rewind, play/pause, skip, and mute. A8 LAB can reset bindings to their defaults.

Performance

Smart Auto-Tune

Adapts Power within your chosen limits.

Read details

Auto-Tune watches recent dropped-frame stability, respects a floor and ceiling, waits through grace/cooldown periods, and can move downward or upward when conditions justify it.

Performance

Performance Guard

Protects playback and recovers cautiously.

Read details

Guard steps processing down when recent playback becomes unstable. After multiple stable windows it can cautiously recover upward instead of remaining permanently reduced.

Performance

A8 Performance HUD

View source FPS, frame interval, and resolution.

Read details

The HUD follows the active video, uses actual video-frame callbacks where Chromium exposes them, and can be dragged or placed in five preset positions.

Performance

30-second diagnostics

Summarizes playback health from a short observation window.

Read details

A8 LAB reports drops, stability, source resolution/FPS, estimated workload, and Auto-Tune activity. It is a product troubleshooting aid, not an external benchmark.

Privacy

Local video processing

Supported video is enhanced in the browser.

Read details

The production runtime contains no video-frame upload or remote enhancement path. Settings and site-profile hostnames are stored in browser extension storage.

Privacy

Why page access is requested

AniHancer8 must discover and work with HTML5 video across sites and frames.

Read details

The extension declares broad HTTP(S) host access so its content scripts can find video players, including embedded frames. Compatibility is still not universal.
