AniHancer8 is a Chrome extension that restores, upscales, and adjusts supported anime and animated HTML5 video in real time using local browser GPU processing.
02How do I install AniHancer8?+
Open the official Chrome Web Store listing, choose Add to Chrome, confirm the installation, and then pin or open AniHancer8 from Chrome’s extensions menu.
03Does AniHancer8 upload my videos?+
Video enhancement runs locally in the browser. The production extension does not upload video frames to an AniHancer8 enhancement server.
04Does AniHancer8 require a subscription or account?+
No subscription, paid tier, registration, or AniHancer8 cloud account is part of the current product.
05What do Eco, Balanced, and Turbo do?+
Eco selects Power 1 for the light Restore chain. Balanced selects Power 2, the recommended Restore-then-Upscale chain. Turbo selects Power 4, the official maximum built-in chain.
06What is Power?+
Power chooses one of four built-in Restore and Upscale processing orders. Higher is not automatically better for every video or device, so begin with Balanced and adjust around playback stability.
07What do Smart Auto-Tune and Performance Guard do?+
Smart Auto-Tune adapts within your chosen floor and ceiling using recent playback stability. Performance Guard responds to dropped-frame pressure and can cautiously recover after stable playback.
08What is A8 LAB?+
A8 LAB is the advanced console for direct Power selection, themes, Color Correction, Smart Auto-Tune, Performance Guard, per-site profiles, Compare and video shortcuts, playback controls, and 30-second diagnostics.
09How do I compare Original and Enhanced?+
Press and hold Live Original Compare to reveal the source video, then release it to return to AniHancer8. Its default Alt+Shift+A shortcut can be edited in A8 LAB.
10Does AniHancer8 work on every website?+
No. It is designed for HTML5 video across many sites and embedded players, but protected media, unusual players, browser restrictions, and fullscreen behavior can affect compatibility.
11Does enhancement affect performance?+
Yes. Real-time Restore and Upscale work uses GPU resources. Source resolution, display size, selected Power, other extensions, and the device all influence playback stability.
12Which browsers are officially supported?+
Google Chrome is the official distribution target through the Chrome Web Store. Other Chromium browsers may be technically compatible but do not have dedicated AniHancer8 store listings.
13Do visual themes change enhancement quality?+
No. The twelve themes, Dark or Light display, and Ambient Space motion customize the extension interface. Color Correction is the separate control that changes saturation, contrast, and brightness on the enhanced presentation.
14What should I try if AniHancer8 does not find a video?+
Start playback, refresh the page after installation, confirm Master is enabled, and try the normal player view before fullscreen. Protected media and unusual players may remain incompatible.
15How does AniHancer8 receive updates?+
Chrome manages updates for the installed Store release. AniHancer8 also includes an Update Hub with bundled release notes and links to the current product library.
