Adapt within your limits
Uses recent dropped-frame stability, floor and ceiling choices, and cooldown/grace behavior to move down or recover upward when conditions justify it.
Protect, then recover
Responds to instability by reducing processing and can cautiously recover after repeated stable windows. It is not a permanent one-way fallback.
Read the player—not an invented benchmark
Shows actual source FPS/frame interval and video resolution. The diagnostic workload value is an estimate, not direct GPU-utilization telemetry.
Made for the web you already use
Distribution and compatibility are different.
